Abstract
Provides an overview of the work going on across industry and government to achieve procurement reform in government construction. The government’s goal is to reduce the cost of government construction procurement by 15 to 20% by the end of 2014 to 2015. Highlights: the new models of construction procurement; the recently launched Infrastructure Carbon Review; the work of the Green Construction Board; and the EU directive on Building Information Modelling (BIM).
