Abstract
Details amendments and additional relaxations for use with certain Design manual for roads and bridges (DMRB) documents, to provide more flexibility during modification of existing dual carriageway all-purpose roads.

Interim Advice Notes (IANs) are issued by Highways England from time to time. They contain specific Guidance, which shall only be used in connection with works on motorways and trunk roads in England, subject to any specific implementation instructions contained within an IAN.
