Abstract

Provides technical guidance which supplements the policy set out in Planning Policy - Wales in relation to coastal erosion and flooding from rivers, sea and surface water. Covers: sources of flood risk, Wales flood map, strategic flood consequences assessment, flood consequences assessments, sustainable drainage, principles of the Technical Advice Note for development plan and development management purposes, vulnerability to flooding, flooding and the plan-led system, acceptability of flood consequences, coastal risks, resilient design, roles and responsibilities.
