Abstract
Relates to Kronobuild Fast Clean and Fast Protect, a P5 flooring grade chipboard or loadbearing Oriented Strand Board (OSB) used in humid conditions, faced on one side with either a polyethylene or polypropylene peel-off film, for use in joisted floor construction. The film, together with sealed joints, provides temporary weather protection to the boards prior to completion of the building envelope. Key factors assessed were mechanical resistance and stability, safety in case of fire, hygiene, health and the environment, safety and accessibility in use, protection against noise, energy economy and heat retention, sustainable use of natural resources, durability.
