Abstract

Provides guidance on the Town and Country Planning (Coal and Petroleum Development) (Notification) (Wales) Direction 2026. From 7 April 2026 the Direction requires that any planning application for the development of petroleum or coal must be referred to Welsh Ministers, where a planning authority does not propose to refuse the application.
