Abstract
Specifies 2 methods of grading softwood namely, visual and machine stress grading. Gives permissible limits of characteristics for visual stress grades and laminating grades. Also gives requirements for machine stress grades - machine general structural (MGS), machine special structural (MSS) and strength classes. Includes performance requirements for machines which grade softwood.
