Abstract
Addresses issues of refurbishment ensuring a new use is found for an old building. Examples include: office space created out of a floor in an old piano factory; a Victorian gasworks converted into a gallery for a charitable foundation; and old law courts and a gaol in Nottingham turned into a gallery on English civil and criminal law.
