Fire safety in purpose-built blocks of flats (Under review by Home Office) (Revised 25 July 2022)
Presents practical advice for assessing risk and managing fire safety in purpose-built blocks of flats.
Supersedes Fire safety in purpose-built blocks of flats (under review by Home Office) (Home Office, 2011). First published in 2011. Re-issued by Home Office June 2021. This document was produced in 2011 and summarised the legislation, guidance and best practice at the time of writing and should be viewed as no longer comprehensive. The Home Office is currently working on a revised version of this guide to be published in 2022. In the interim, it continues to be made available to fire safety professionals as it contains relevant and useful information for purpose-built blocks of flats. This version contains an update to the 3rd paragraph, published 25 July 2022.
The Home Office is the government department responsible for immigration and passports, drugs policy, counter-terrorism and police.
