PUB C607 Principles of design for deconstruction to facilitate reuse and recycling
It is worthwhile considering the possibilities, during the design stage of a project, for reusing the components and recycling the materials that are likely to arise from deconstruction or demolition of a building. This publication looks at the processes and opportunities for demolition and deconstruction and the experience of designing for deconstruction in other fields such as automobile industries.
Based on Research Project RP656.
CIRIA was formerly known as the Construction Industry Research and Information Association. They are a member-based research and information organisation who publish reports and technical papers covering building and civil engineering as well as transport and utilities infrastructure.
