Abstract

Looks at the strengthening of concrete structures with fibre composite materials bonded on the surface or embedded in the concrete. Areas covered include: material types and properties, review of applications, structural design of strengthened members, strengthening members in flexure, shear strengthening, strengthening axially-loaded members, emerging technologies, workmanship and installation and long-term inspection and monitoring.
