Abstract

Presents guidance for the design of floors in steel framed structures against unacceptable vibrations caused by pedestrian traffic. It has particular relevance to composite floors comprising permanent metal decking topped with concrete. As well as the design procedures set out in Section 7, the Guide contains background commentary and a general, non-technical, introduction.
