Abstract
Aims to provide a best estimate from all available data on the volume of traffic using all parts of the National Road Network. It is based on 1996 information from 29 permanent traffic counting stations and from a large number of one-day visual counts, carried out annually. Every section of National Road is identified by Route number, description and length. Best estimates of Annual Average Daily Traffic, AADT, and percentage of heavy commercial vehicles are listed for each section for the year 1999.
