Abstract
Relates to drain and sewer systems outside buildings, with a focus on investigation and assessment. The systems operate essentially under gravity from where the sewage exits the building or roof drainage system, or enters a road gully to where it is discharged into a treatment works or receiving water. Applies also to drains and sewers below buildings where they do not form part of the building drainage system.
