Abstract
The Domestic technical handbook provides practical guidance to meet building regulations requirements for the conservation of fuel and power, furthering sustainable development and ensuring the health, safety, welfare and convenience of people in and around buildings.

Superseded by Building standards technical handbook 2022: Domestic (For use from 1 February 2023 updating sections 0, 2, 3, 6 and 7). Supersedes Building standards technical handbook 2020: domestic buildings (April 2021 Addendum) (Scottish Government, 2020). Comes into force 1 June 2022. Provides guidance on achieving the standards set in the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004. This handbook applies to a building warrant submitted on or after 1 June 2022 and to building work which does not require a warrant commenced from that date.
