Abstract
Darley Street Market in Bradford, designed by Greig & Stephenson, is a £32.5 million civic project that consolidates the city’s dispersed markets into a single sustainable hub for food, retail, and community activity. Completed in 2024, the 5,700m² building features a hybrid glulam-and-steel structure, natural ventilation, PV panels, air-source heat pumps, and rainwater harvesting, achieving high environmental performance and an EPC rating of A.
