Abstract
Lincolnshire County Council set a key objective to improve service delivery, and make savings to their budget without significant job losses in the area. The Authority did not have the resources to invest in corporate support services, so they decided to pursue a radical way of delivering corporate support services. As a result, a public private partnership between the Authority and Hyder Business Services was agreed by Contract in April 2000. The contract will see capital investment of at least £35million in the Authority, the establishment of a Regional Business Centre, and operational savings in excess of £50million to the Authority, over the life of the contract.
