Abstract

Compiles a number of articles suggesting practical advice on the issues that affect the efficient detailing of steelwork connections. Some, which consider connection detailing, cost, simple design and basic fabrication, advise on how to create practical structures. Others provide insight into connection behaviour and the ongoing developments in ‘green books’. Developments in specialist areas of steelwork design and details like bridgework, hollow section joints, tension connections, towers and masts and the r structural fasteners are discussed.
