Abstract

Requirements for surfacing in children's playgrounds and for areas needing impact attenuation. Factors to be considered when selecting surfacing. Test to determine impact attenuation with a critical fall height for surfacing representing the upper limit of its effectiveness in reducing head injury. To be read in conjunction with BS 7188:1989.
