BS 476-4:1970 Fire tests on building materials and structures. Non-combustibility test for materials (incorporating amendments issued March 1978 (AMD 2483), September 1983 (AMD 4390) and corrigendum No. 1)
Determines whether materials, with or without coatings, used in construction or finishing of buildings meet the definition of non-combustibility as set out in this standard.
Amendment 2483 dated March 1978. Amendment 4390 dated September 1983 - Indicated by a sideline in the margin. Amendment C1 dated March 2014 - Information added to Foreword. This standard has been superseded by the current BS EN ISO 1182, but it has been retained based on legitimate need for the standard within non-EU markets.
