Abstract

Provides guidance and recommendations for selecting and installing fire-resistant power and control cable systems. Takes into consideration fire survival times, power supply, dual circuits/diverse routes, fire-resisting building fabric enclosures, automatic changeover devices, motor control panels, cable selection, cable protective systems, fire temperature effects on cable size, circuit protective conductors, installation practices, support systems, junction boxes and joints, fire-resistant busbar systems, special fire risks, and life safety and fire-fighting applications.
