Abstract
Details are given for test methods and assessment and the evaluation of conformity for suspended ceilings used in interior applications. Covering suspended ceilings sold as a complete kit, substructures sold as kits, individual components of such substructures, and membrane components.

Supersedes BS 8290-1:1991, BS 8290-2:1991 and BS 8290-3:1991. This document is a candidate harmonized European Standard and takes into account the requirements of EC mandate M121 internal and external wall and ceiling finishes.
