Abstract

Requirements for non-armoured cables with thermosetting insulation of rated voltage up to and including 450/750V, which produce lower levels of smoke and corrosive gases under exposure to fire, compared with corresponding PVC-insulated cables specified in BS 6004.

Superseded by BS 7211:2012+A1:2020, BS EN 50525-1:2011 and BS EN 50525-3-41:2011. Supersedes BS 7211:1994. The provisions introduced by amendment No.1:2004 are effective from 1st April 2004. The original version of this standard remains current until 31st March 2006 - and is available from BSI Customer Services. Confirmed October 2005.
