Abstract

Specifies requirements for indirect investigations of soil by dynamic probing as part of geotechnical investigation and testing according. Covers the determination of the resistance of soils and soft rocks in situ to the dynamic penetration of a cone. Four procedures are included, covering a wide range of specific work per blow.

Partially supersedes BS 1377-9:1990 and supersedes BS 5930:1999 which remains current. Amendment 16932 is Corrigendum No.1 dated February 2007 which revises National foreword.
