Abstract
Specifies requirements for the testing and examination of new electric lifts covered by BS 5655-1:1986, before the lift is put into service. Includes a proforma for a certificate of test and examination which covers construction, certain aspects of performance, and contract data. Also specifies a requirement to provide test certificates relating to certain components of the equipment.
