Abstract

Floor heating is a well established technology frequently used in new heating installations. The design and operation principles are well known and the system provides a very efficient solution for heating premises such as dwellings and offices. However, more people now want thermal comfort all year round, and this can be achieved using floor cooling technology with underfloor pipework forming a reversible system providing heating in winter and cooling in summer.
