Abstract

Explains the life cycle of a fire door. Provides guidance on: specifying fire doors, the Building Regulations especially Part B, certification of fire doors, manufacture of fire doors, converting doors to fire doors, necessary components for fire doors including ironmongery, seals and glazing, buying appropriate fire doors and doorsets, correct installation of fire doors, Carrying out appropriate assessment of fire doors and maintenance of fire doors.
