Abstract

Concerned with the basic principles which govern the lighting of tunnels for motorised traffic. Gives photometric recommendations for effective tunnel lighting, and covers the effects of: visual conditions, weather, road and traffic conditions, driving customs and construction and performance of cars etc. This is not a design guide and so does not cover matters such as design procedures, calculation methods and lighting equipment.
