PRJ PR 35 Rapid characterisation of contaminated sites using electrical imaging
Focuses on linear electrical resistivity profiling to determine the danger of a contaminated site. Intended to provide users with an insight into what may be achieved by a geophysical approach and at what cost. Suggests alternative geophysical techniques where relevant. Describes the expected effect of various ground conditions on the images and gives the results and outline interpretation of each of the case studies. Limitations are discussed.
Prepared under contract to CIRIA by International Mining Consultants Limited.
CIRIA was formerly known as the Construction Industry Research and Information Association. They are a member-based research and information organisation who publish reports and technical papers covering building and civil engineering as well as transport and utilities infrastructure.
