Abstract

Provides clarification for various aspects in the drawings of the 2015 version of Approved Document M (AD M). Also, for the earlier version of AD M (2004 edition with 2010 and 2013 amendments) clarifies various points relating to: the use of BS 8300:2001, exemption from building control charges, change of use, extensions, habitable rooms, access statements, lifts, handrails, mezzanine floors in existing buildings, sockets and switches and shared refreshment facilities. A table is provided to highlight which version should be used.
