Abstract
The DCSF aims to deliver zero carbon schools by 2016, by reducing carbon emissions from energy use in school buildings. This impact assessment looks at various options, including an immediate plan to reduce carbon emissions by 60% whilst zero carbon alternatives are considered, or immediately require new school buildings to be zero carbon, and comply with minimum energy efficiency standards within building regulations.

The Zero Carbon Taskforce will review and report findings by December 2008 and further review in 2009. This document is no longer available from the original publisher therefore the status is unconfirmed.
