Part L Building Regulations - Combustion appliances and fuel storage systems (consultation package)

Abstract

Invites responses to proposals for amending Part L (Combustion Appliances and Fuel Storage Systems) of the Building Regulations (NI) 2000 and Technical Booklet L which supports the regulations. These proposals will introduce new requirements to the Building Regulations in relation to the protection from fire of liquid fuels storage systems and to provide protection against pollution that may be caused by liquid fuel leakage. An additional requirement will be the fixing of a notice providing information on the performance capabilities of relevant fireplaces, flues etc.

The original title of Part L is different to the title of this consultation package. The consultation package comprises: 1. A letter; 2. This document with a list of organisations who have been sent the package, the proposed amendment of part L, a draft new Technical Booklet for part L and a draft Regulatory Impact Assessment; 3. A response form. Consultation closed on 21 January 2005. Replaced by Final Regulatory Impact Assessment, DFP 2006.
