Abstract

Details amendments to Technical Booklets F1 'Conservation of fuel and power in dwellings' and F2 'Conservation of fuel and power in buildings other than dwellings'. These Technical Booklets provide performance standards and design provisions for compliance with the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 relating to the conservation of fuel and power in new and existing dwellings and buildings other than dwellings.

Document History

Superseded by Technical Booklet F1 'Conservation of fuel and power in dwellings' and Technical booklet F2 'Conservation of fuel and power in buildings other than dwellings' (DOF, 2022) taking effect on 30 June 2022. The changes to Technical Booklets F1 and F2 take effect from 25 February 2014. The previous editions continue to apply to work started before 25 February 2014, or to work subject to a building notice or full plans application submitted before that date. The changes to Technical Booklets F1 and F2 take into account the recast of the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (Directive 2010/31/EU) and amend guidance relating to high-efficiency alternative systems, buildings exempted from certain energy efficiency requirements and recognition of the term 'major renovation'. Also clarifies which regulations affect buildings of statutory undertakers.
