TSM Chapter 8-2 Traffic safety measures and signs for road works and temporary situations. Operations. 2nd edition
Provides guidance for those responsible for planning, managing, and participating in operations to implement, maintain and remove temporary traffic management arrangements. It contains advice relating to good working practice spanning all aspects of temporary traffic management operations from broad management issues to issues involving the activities of individual operatives. The guidance is illustrated by the inclusion of sample plans relating to the operational guidance of particular temporary traffic management techniques.
Other useful information on use of earlier editions of this document could be found in TA 63/97 and TD 49/03 and HA IAN 57/04 which superseded relevant guidance on the use of temporary speed limits at road works on high speed roads. This edition replaces the 2006 edition (2nd impression with minor amendments 2007).
