Draft planning conditions (and notes) for adoption of new roads

Abstract

'Unadopted' roads are those roads not maintained by a highway authority as defined by Highways Act 1980. The purpose of these draft conditions is to ensure that arrangements for the future management and maintenance of new roads within developments, is confirmed at the planning stage.

Document History

Superseded by Highway adoptions - the adoption of roads into the public highway (1980 Highways Act) (DFT, 2017). Consultation closed in April 2014.
