Abstract
Provides general service considerations for satellite dialysis units for the treatment of adult patients requiring haemodialysis, and teaching patients how to carry out appropriate tasks.

Supersedes Space for Health: Clinical Services 'Satellite dialysis unit: Planning and design manual' and 'Satellite dialysis unit: Policy and service context manual' (2011), which replaced HBN 07-01 Renal care - satellite dialysis unit (2008). Department of Health is now known as the Department of Health and Social Care.
