Abstract

Constitutes the re-issued policy provisions of Draft Planning Policy Statement 14 ‘Sustainable Development in the Countryside’ referred to in the 25 October 2007 Ministerial Statement made by Arlene Foster, Minister of the Environment. The document sets out planning policies for development in the countryside. These policies should, as indicated in the Ministerial Statement, be accorded substantial weight in the determination of any planning application received after 16 March 2006.

Supersedes Draft PPS 14: Sustainable development in the countryside (includes ministerial statement) (DRDNI, 2006). To be read with Rural Planning Policy and PPS 14 - a statement by Arlene Foster, Minister of the Environment (DOENI, 2007). Superseded by Draft PPS 21: Sustainable development in the countryside (DOENI, 2008).
