Abstract

Provides recommendations for industry and the government to build and maintain buildings more sustainably, particularly through adopting a national code to improve environmental standards in buildings. It expands on the idea of a national code for sustainable buildings and also discusses Building Regulations; planning; existing building stock; labelling for construction materials and incentives to encourage sustainability in both existing and construction of new buildings.
