Building Bulletin 103 Area guidelines for mainstream schools

Abstract

Establishes simple, non-statutory area guidelines for mainstream school buildings and sites covering the ages between 3-19. Provides recommendations for the net area: basic teaching, halls, dining and PE, learning resource areas, staff and administration and storage and non-net areas: toilets and personal care, kitchen facilities, circulation, plant and internal walls and supplementary areas. The site covers net areas for: soft outdoor PE, hard outdoor PE, soft informal and social areas, hard informal and social areas, habitat areas and non-net sites.
