Abstract

Provides guidelines intended to assist in deciding on the need for an oil separator at a site and the size and type of separator which is appropriate. Describes how oil separators work, where they are needed, choosing the right separator, types and classes of separator, sizes, closure devices and alarms. Also looks at installation and labelling, maintenance and use, waste management and emergencies.
