Aims to stimulate a high standard of design when development takes place in historically sensitive contexts, by presenting a series of case studies which illustrate different aspects of development in historical areas.
Published jointly with Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE).
Now known as Historic England, English Heritage produced a wide variety of publications with subjects ranging from repair, conservation and management of the historic environment to funding and grants.
