Abstract

Designed for those who own, manage or occupy historic buildings in England and who, under the service provider, employer and education provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, have particular responsibilities towards people who have disabilities. Also aimed towards those who will be professionally involved in planning alterations to historic buildings or in giving advice on alternative forms of service provision. As a revision of 'Easy Access to Historic Properties' which was first published in 1995, this document takes into account subsequent changes in the regulatory framework and draws upon an emerging body of experience and good practice.
