Abstract
For the selection, installation, inspection and maintenance of electrical and non-electrical equipment to be used in hazardous areas within the petroleum industry. Sets out the classification of hazardous areas, looking at the impact of apparatus, the extent and what to look out for during maintenance activities, looks at different types of ignition, covering earthing and bonding, cathodic protection, issues relating to storage tanks, temporary electrical supplies and equipment.
