Abstract
Divided into the following sections; thermal insulation to satisfy the Building Regulations; does theoretical analysis accurately predict hear loss; tests to determine u-values of three cavity walls; comparison of hot box test results with u-values derived by calculation; further inquiry to discover the cause of the discrepancy between theoretical prediction and test result and; test results suggest theoretical prediction under-estimates actual heat loss.
