Keepers of time - a statement of policy for England's ancient and native woodland

Abstract

Policy statement explaining the approaches to be taken to protect and preserve the ancient and native woodland of England. As well as containing key policy principles, this statement sets out a series of strategic objectives which will act as a framework for action over the coming years, stating that a series of initiatives and programmes of activity will be developed to deliver the vision. Finally, a comprehensive range of outcomes is presented, to be used as quantitative measures to monitor progress and judge success.
