Abstract

Presents methodologies to integrate threat/hazard, asset value, and vulnerability assessment information. Compiles best practices to consider during design or renovation. Discusses mitigation measures for outside the envelope of the building, including orientation of the building on site, and for systems and interior layout. Explores blast theory to understand the dynamics of the blast pressure wave, the response of building components, and defining levels of protection.
