Abstract

Applies to the installation, operation and maintenance of cooking appliances generally but with an emphasis on the hazards of the use of fats and cooking oils. The recommendations set out in this document are not intended to apply to frying ranges in fish and chip shops, cooking equipment in food processing factories, to solid fuel or oil-fired appliances, or to premises where cooking only involves the preparation of light snacks and beverages. Cooking equipment installed or used in vehicles or in the open is also excluded.
