Abstract

Encourages local authorities to use design briefs and/or supplementary planning documents to promote development design for energy efficiency and renewable energy. Also considers the development of complementary approaches to the marketing and development of the coastal resorts to enhance their overall competitiveness.

Superseded by East of England plan - the revision to the regional spatial strategy for the East of England (GOEE, 2008). Partially supersedes Regional planning guidance for the South east (RPG 9) (DETR, 2001) - Chapter 10, paragraphs 10.19 to 10.24 are replaced and introduces new Chapter 14.
