Abstract
Provides guidance on fire risk assessment in NHSScotland hospitals and other healthcare premises. Assessments using the guidance in this document are required in all hospitals and other NHSScotland premises and buildings occupied by NHSScotland bodies from which healthcare services are provided.

Superseded by version 6.0 dated August 2023. Version 5.0: June 2013. SHTM 86 version 5.0 replaces all previous versions of SHTM 86 Part 1 and SHTM 86 Part 2. Previous versions should therefore no longer be used as guidance for the conduct of fire risk assessments.
