Abstract

Explains the Lifting operations and lifting equipment regulations (LOLER) 1998. It aims to help users learn about and understand the Regulations dealing with lifting equipment in everyday workplaces such as factories, offices, shops, hospitals, construction sites, warehouses, farms - wherever lifting equipment is used at work. The main groups for whom this guidance is intended for are local authority health and safety inspectors; local authority enforcement officers; health and safety professionals who provide services within medium-sized to large companies, for example health and safety officers and health and safety training personnel; HSE inspectors and legal professionals.
