Abstract

Establishes minimum regulations for the design and installation of plumbing systems using prescriptive and performance-related provisions. It is founded on broad-based principles that make possible the use of new materials and new plumbing designs. Applies to the erection, installation, alteration, repairs, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of plumbing systems within this jurisdiction. Also regulates non-flammable medical gas, inhalation anaesthetic, vacuum piping, non-medical oxygen systems and sanitary and condensate vacuum collection systems.
